Monophonic physical modeling

Rosin

Shape one resonant body by hand, then hear and see its modes respond as you play. Rosin is a monophonic physical-modeling synthesizer for iPad. Desktop builds for macOS and Windows are coming later.

The instrument draws what rings.

Every active mode of the body renders as a dot in the Constellation view. Frequency runs left to right, decay bottom to top, so the changing response stays visible while you play.

Use Rosin with MIDI from a keyboard or a sequencer. Sustain and a fixed basic control map keep the instrument ready for a session without turning it into a control surface.

Geometry you can hear

Shape the resonant body by hand with geometry, brightness, damping and position.

03

Three resonator models

Explore modal, string and strings models, with space processing that places the sound into a room.

04

Sixteen factory presets

Start with bowed drones, blown tones, struck percussion and resonant textures, including String, Strings and Space-rail sounds.

Where it runs

One instrument, three ways in.
